Syslog Integration

Syslog is a standard log transport mechanism that enables the aggregation of log data from different sources into a central repository for archiving. The Aperture service can forward every type of log it generates to an external syslog server. The Aperture Syslog feature requires TLS 1.0 (and above) communications protocol for connections between the Aperture service and the external syslog server. This topic describes how to configure Aperture syslog monitoring and includes a description of supported log types and log fields.
