Enable or Disable Data Patterns—SaaS Security DLP (Classic)

By default, the data pattern is enabled when you save it. Any disabled data pattern can be enabled. If you do not see the enable or disable links, you do not have the privilege necessary to modify the data pattern.
  1. Select
    Settings
    Data Pattern
    .
  2. Filter the data pattern list to view the
    Enabled
    or
    Disabled
    data patterns.
  3. Select the data pattern to edit, and either
    Enable Data Pattern
    or
    Disable Data Pattern
    .
    For enabled data patterns,
    Data Security
    will immediately begin scanning and display the match results in
    Explore
    Assets
    . To scan a disabled data pattern, you must enable it.

Enable or Disable Data Patterns

By default,
Data Security
enables a subset of predefined data patterns; however, you can disable any data pattern. Additionally,
Data Security
immediately enables a custom data pattern after you create and save it. Any disabled data pattern can be enabled. If you do not see the enable or disable links, you do not have the privilege necessary to modify the data pattern.
  1. Select
    Settings
    Data Pattern
    .
  2. Filter the data pattern list to view the
    Enabled
    or
    Disabled
    data patterns.
  3. Select the data pattern to edit, then
    Actions
    Enable
    or
    Disable
    .
    For enabled data patterns,
    Data Security
    immediately begins scanning and displays the match results in
    Explore
    Assets
    . To scan a disabled data pattern, you must enable it.
