Upgrade Your Multi-Tenant Deployment

When upgrading a multi-tenant deployment, it’s important that you first upgrade all host machines and then upgrade the main machine.
You can use the same Cortex XSOAR installation file to upgrade each host machine and the main machine.
Cortex XSOAR uses the
/tmp
folder for installation. If the folder is blocked by policy, you need to specify a new directory or use
/var/tmp
directory by adding the
-target
argument to installation before any other flag. For example,
sudo ./demisto.sh -target /var/tmp --multi-tenant
While a host is upgrading, tenants on that host are not available. You might encounter connectivity issues and gaps in data collection.
  1. On the host machine, run the Cortex XSOAR installation file with the
    -- -multi-tenant
    flag.
You can run the installer on hosts in parallel or sequentially.
  2. After all host machines finish the upgrade procedure, run the Cortex XSOAR installation file on the main machine with the
    -- -multi-tenant
    flag.
