Upgrade the GlobalProtect App on macOS via Microsft Intune

1. Un-assign the users and groups that the GlobalProtect app is currently assigned to.
2. Add the following text to a text editor and save it on your computer as an .sh file:

   #!/bin/bash
   sh "/Applications/GlobalProtect.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall_gp.sh"
   exit $?
   

3. On the Microsoft Intuit admin center, navigate to DevicesmacOSScripts.
4. Click Add.
5. Type a name and description for the script and click Next.

6. Add a description and click Next.
7. Upload the upgrade script you created in step 2.
8. Set Run script as signed-in user to No.

   This enables the system to run the script as root user.

9. Specify additional information as required and click Next.
10. Make user assignments for the new GlobalProtect app version and click Next.
11. Review the script summary and click Add.

    The uninstall script runs when Microsoft Intune pushes it out to the devices .
12. Deploy the required version of the GlobalProtect app.
