Upgrade the GlobalProtect app
Un-assign the users and groups that the GlobalProtect app is currently assigned to.
Add the following text to a text editor and save it on your computer as an .sh file:
#!/bin/bash sh "/Applications/GlobalProtect.app/Contents/Resources/uninstall_gp.sh" exit $?
On the Microsoft Intuit admin center, navigate to
Devices
macOS
Scripts
.
Click
Add
.
Type a name and description for the script and click
Next
.
Add a description and click
Next
.
Upload the upgrade script you created in step 2.
Set Run script as signed-in user to
No
.
This enables the system to run the script as root user.
Specify additional information as required and click
Next
.
Make user assignments for the new GlobalProtect app version and click
Next
.
Review the script summary and click
Add
.
The uninstall script runs when Microsoft Intune pushes it out to the devices .
Deploy the required version of the GlobalProtect app
.
