The GlobalProtect app now supports single sign-on for macOS endpoints. Single sign-on improves the user experience by reducing the number of times users must enter credentials when they log in. When a user logs in to macOS, the GlobalProtect app acquires and uses the credentials to authenticate with the GlobalProtect portal and gateways. To enable single-sign on, set

  1. On the firewall configured to act as the GlobalProtect portal, select the relevant app configuration.
    Select
    Network
    GlobalProtect
    Portals
    <portal-config>
    Agent
    <agent-config>
    App
    .
  2. Choose whether to
    Use Single Sign-on (macOS)
    .
    Select
    Yes
    to enable single sign-on or
    No
    (the default) to disable single sign-on.
  3. Click
    OK
    twice.
  4. Commit
    the configuration.
