View Prisma Agent Notifications

Learn about the types of notifications that you’ll receive from Prisma Agent in the event of an error or warning.
Where Can I Use This? What Do I Need?
  • Prisma Agent
  • Minimum Prisma Agent version:
    • 25.1 (macOS and Windows)
  • macOS 14 and later or Windows 10 version 2024 and later desktop devices
  • Internet access
The Prisma Agent helps minimize disruptions to your work by notifying you about connection issues or imminent outages. Prisma Agent provides notifications on the macOS menu bar or the Windows taskbar (system tray). The agent also displays warnings or errors in pop-up notifications and shows the connection status and any issues in the Prisma Agent. (Not supported on Prisma Agent Linux)
To receive notifications, you must enable desktop notifications.
When an issue occurs, Prisma Agent notifies you as follows:
  • The Prisma Agent icon shows whether the agent is connected or disconnected.
  • Prisma Agent will prompt you when an application you're accessing requires additional authentication. Click OK to authenticate using your organization's authentication method.
  • When a warning or error occurs, a pop-up notification shows the warning or error in minor detail, and may provide a remediation for the issue.
If Application Experience is running on your device, a pop-up notification from Autonomous DEM appears. You can click the notification to open the Application Experience User Interface to view any suggested remediation for the issue.
  • The main window of the Prisma Agent shows whether you are connected or disconnected.
If an error is beyond your control, such as running an unsupported version of the agent, you can click the error pop-up to open the Prisma Agent, which will show the error and a brief message to contact your administrator.
When an outage is imminent and you are about to be disconnected from Prisma Access, Prisma Agent will issue an alert with an option to refresh the connection or ignore the message.
If you ask your administrator for assistance on a Prisma Agent issue, they might need to access your system remotely for troubleshooting. In this case, they will request permission from you to start a remote terminal session on your device that gives them access to advanced commands to troubleshoot and remediate your issues. You can approve or reject this request using the following pop-up that will appear on your device:
