Integrate Prisma Cloud with Slack

Learn how to integrate Prisma™ Cloud with Slack.
If you are using Slack for collaborations and centralizing notifications for your users, integrate Prisma™ Cloud with Slack to get notifications as messages on your Slack channels.

Set up the Webhook on Slack

To set up the Webhook integration for Slack you can opt to use the Slack App integration (recommended by Slack) or use a custom integration.
  • Use Slack Apps.
    1. Log in to your web Slack using your company URL.
      For example https://<company-name-or-abbreviation>.slack.com/apps/manage.
    2. Select
      Build
      Create an App
      From scratch
    3. Enter an
      App Name
      , pick your workspace and
      Create App
      .
    4. Select
      Incoming Webhooks
      .
    5. Toggle the Activate Incoming Webhooks
      On
      .
    6. Select
      Add New Webhook to Workspace
      .
    7. Select the channel to post messages and
      Allow
      access.
    8. Copy the Webhook URL.
      You will need to specify this URL on Prisma Cloud.
      If you want to post messages to more than one channel, create a new Webhook using steps 6to 8.
  • Use a Custom Integration.
    1. Log in to your web Slack using your company URL.
      For example https://<company-name-or-abbreviation>.slack.com/apps/manage.
    2. Select
      Manage
      Custom Integrations
      .
    3. Select
      Incoming WebHooks
      .
    4. Add to Slack
      .
    5. Select a channel and
      Add Incoming WebHooks Integration
      .
    6. Save Settings
      .
      Copy the
      Webhook URL
      from this page so you can specify this URL on Prisma Cloud.

Configure the Slack Integration on Prisma Cloud

After you create the webhook, you can now configure the Slack integration on Prisma Cloud.
  1. Log in to Prisma Cloud to enable the integration.
    1. Select
      Settings
      Integrations
      .
    2. Create a
      +New Integration
    3. Set the
      Integration Type
      to
      Slack
      .
    4. Enter a name and a description for this integration.
    5. Enter the
      WebHook URL
      .
    6. Click
      Next
      and then
      Test
      .
      The status check for Slack displays in red text ifPrisma Cloud receives any of the following errors:
      user not found or channel not found
      ,
      channelis archived
      ,
      action prohibited
      ,
      posting to general channel denied
      ,
      no service or no service ID
      , or
      no team or team disabled
      .
  2. Create an Alert Rule for Run-Time Checks or modifyan existing rule to send alerts to your Slack channels. See Send Prisma Cloud Alert Notifications to Third-Party Tools.
