Register the VM-Series Firewall (with auth code)

Complete the following procedure to register your VM-Series firewall with an auth code.
  1. Log in to the Palo Alto Networks Customer Support portal with your account credentials. If you need a new account, see Create a Support Account.
  2. Select
    Assets
    VM-Series Auth-Codes
    Add VM-Series Auth-Code

  3. In the
    Add VM-Series Auth-Code
    field, enter the capacity auth code you received by email, and
    Agree and Submit
    .
    The page will display the list of auth codes registered to your support account. You can track the number of VM-Series firewalls that have been deployed and the number of licenses that are still available for use against each auth code. When all the available licenses are used, the auth code does not display on the VM-Series Auth-Codes page. To view all the assets that are deployed, select
    Assets
    Devices
    .
  4. Register the VM-Series firewall.
    1. Search for the auth code you just added and select
      Register VM

    2. Enter the details to register the firewall.
      Provide the UUID and CPU ID of the firewall. Select the PAN-OS version and the cloud platform or hypervisor on which you have deployed the firewall. The serial number of your VM-Series firewall will be attached to your account records.
    3. Submit
      to complete the registration process.
      You can view the serial number that was generated for the firewall on the
      Assets
      Devices
      page. Use the auth code to filter and find the firewalls registered to your account.
