    Linux Integration Services

    Linux Integration Services (LIS) is a package of drivers and services that enhance the performance of Linux-based virtual machines on Hyper-V. The VM-Series firewall supports the following services to improve the integration between the host and the virtual machine:
    • Graceful Shutdown
      —Allows you to perform a graceful shutdown of the VM-Series firewall from the Hyper-V management interface without having to log into the guest.
    • Heartbeat to Hyper-V Manager
      —Provides heartbeat monitoring of the running status of guest VMs from the Hyper-V management interface.
    • Firewall Management IP Address Visibility
      —Allows you to use Hyper-V Manager to view the IP address assigned to the management interface on the firewall.
