Install KVM and Open vSwitch on Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

Install KVM and OVS.

Log in to the Ubuntu CLI.

Execute the following commands:

$ 
sudo apt-get install qemu-kvm libvirt-bin ubuntu-vm-builder bridge-utils 
$ 
sudo apt-get install openvswitch-switch 

Check and compare the versions of relevant packages.

Execute the following commands:

$ virsh --version 1.3.1
$ libvirtd --version
libvirtd (libvirt) 1.3.1
$ /usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 --version
QEMU emulator version 2.5.0 (Debian
1:2.5+dfsg-5ubuntu10.6), Copyright (c) 2003-2008
