Remote Bootsrapping for Cloud Managed NGFWs

Learn about device bootstrap hardening in Strata Cloud Manager
If you experience a routing stack mismatch, misconfiguration, software upgrade problem, or license issue with your cloud managed firewalls, you can now trigger a bootstrap or routing mode change directly from Strata Cloud Manager without having to first contact support. You will also have visibility into the bootstrapping process with a new status that will display error messages with suggestions for remediation.
A routing mismatch could be caused by several things, such as an accidental change to the routing stack or making a change locally on the firewall that is enabled by mistake.
Strata Cloud Manager automatically triggers the bootstrap process when you onboard your firewalls for the first time. Bootstrapping speeds up the process of configuring and licensing the firewall to make it operational on the network. During the bootstrap process, the firewalls are automatically converted to logical router mode, restarted, and Strata Cloud Manager pushes the configuration to the firewall.
