The Cloud Identity Engine now supports instances in the Israel (IL) and Indonesia (ID) regions for customers who must store the data synced from their directories in either of these regions to comply with data regulation requirements. If you use the Cloud Identity Engine for authentication, refer to Configure the Cloud Identity Engine in an Authentication Profile.

Using a service account for the Cloud Identity Engine app is strongly recommended, as this is a more secure method for directory access and does not require the account to be associated with a specific user. The Client Credential Flow option for Okta in the Cloud Identity Engine allows you to configure a service account for your Okta Directory in the Cloud Identity Engine app.
