New Features - Cloud NGFW for Azure - July 2025
Azure Region Support: Spain Central, Mexico Central, and India South
Cloud NGFW for Azure now supports deployment in Spain Central, Mexico Central, and India South regions to address data residency requirements and deliver low-latency security for organizations operating in Southern Europe, Latin America, and South Asia. Organizations with regional operations face challenges meeting local data sovereignty regulations while maintaining consistent security postures when infrastructure resides in geographically distant regions, resulting in increased latency and potential compliance violations. With these regional expansions, you can now deploy Cloud NGFW closer to your Azure workloads and users in these geographies, ensuring compliance with local data residency requirements while reducing network latency and improving application performance.
This expansion enables you to maintain unified security policies across your global Azure infrastructure while keeping traffic inspection and security functions within specific jurisdictions. You can now protect workloads in Spain without routing traffic through other European regions, serve Mexican and Latin American users with locally-deployed security, and support Indian operations with in-country data processing. Each region provides the same advanced threat prevention capabilities available globally, but with the added benefits of local data processing, regulatory compliance, and optimized performance for regional users.
