New Features - Cloud NGFW for Azure - April 2025

Cloud NGFW on Azure now provides enhanced credit usage visibility through the Cloud NGFW Credits Management Console to address the challenge of understanding and optimizing cloud security spending across complex deployments. Organizations struggle to track how Cloud NGFW credits are consumed across multiple resources, security services, and management platforms, making it difficult to forecast costs, identify optimization opportunities, or allocate expenses to specific business units. With the enhanced management console, you can now gain greater visibility into how your Cloud NGFW credits are used by analyzing your usage at different periods at a summary level for your tenant and NGFW resources, while continuing to analyze usage at a granular level for each Cloud NGFW resource, the traffic secured, Cloud-Delivered Security Services (CDSS), and Centralized Management services like Panorama, Strata Cloud Manager, and Strata Logging Services.

This multi-level visibility enables you to understand spending patterns at both the strategic and tactical levels. You can identify which resources or services consume the most credits, track trends over time to predict future consumption, and make informed decisions about resource allocation and optimization strategies. The granular breakdowns help you optimize costs by right-sizing deployments, adjusting security service usage, or implementing more efficient architectures based on actual consumption data rather than estimates.
