Sidebar

1. From Strata Cloud Manager, select ConfigurationPolicyControl SetsBrowser CustomizationCustomization
2. Select Sidebar.
3. Select one of the following options:

   • Enable - The sidebar is available to users. This is the default.
   • Disable - The sidebar is not visible and users cannot activate it. The option to show the sidebar is removed from the browser menu, the onboarding wizard, and the browser appearance settings.
4. To pin an application, click Add application and specify the following:

   • URL — only http and https URLs are accepted.
   • Name — the application name shown in the sidebar.
   • (Optional) Set custom icon — upload a square PNG or SVG, 100 px, up to 200 KB, with a transparent background. Without a custom icon, the browser uses the website's favicon.
   • (Optional) Open application in side view — the application opens in a side view panel next to the user's current tab instead of in a full tab. Applications set to open in side view are marked with a Side view badge in the application list.

Click Save, and repeat for each application. Drag an application in the list to change the order it appears in the user's sidebar.

You can pin up to 12 applications. The sidebar holds 12 applications in total, shared between administrator-pinned and user-pinned applications. If the administrator pins N applications, the user can display at most 12 minus N. User applications that exceed the remaining slots are hidden from the bottom of the user's list and are restored automatically if the administrator later frees slots.

When Open application in side view is selected, users cannot change the side view state for that application. The sidebar shortcut menu shows only Managed by your organization. If the checkbox is cleared, users can still choose to open the application in side view themselves, using Show in side view and Show in full view in that menu.
5. Click Set.

Pinned applications can be configured only when the control is set to Enable. Setting the control to Disable hides the sidebar and any applications it contains.
