Here's a preview of the new features introduced in Prisma SD-WAN in February 2026.

Site Snapshot

Prisma SD-WAN now features a Site Snapshot yaml-based tool for managing Prisma SD-WAN site configurations. This feature allows administrators to export existing site settings into a comprehensive file, which can then be used to update the existing site or seamlessly deploy new ones. By simplifying configuration replication, Site Snapshot ensures consistency and significantly boosts operational efficiency, which can be leveraged in both the Prisma SD-WAN web interface and API.

Support for ION End of Life Notifications

Prisma SD-WAN now alerts you when ION devices are running End-of-Life (EoL) software versions, helping you maintain a secure and supported network environment. Visual indicators now appear on the Prisma SD-WAN Devices page and in the Device distribution by software version charts to highlight devices that need attention. These notifications provide immediate context and direct links to the Release Guidance and End-of-Life Summary, enabling you to quickly identify outdated software and plan upgrades for optimal performance.

Support for Global BGP config with VRF and Router ID

You can now configure the BGP Router ID globally for each VRF context. The Router ID setting moved from the BGP Peer configuration to the BGP Global configuration. This update ensures that all BGP peers within the same VRF instance use a consistent Router ID, preventing configuration conflicts.

Site Protection Profile

A Site Protection Profile (SPP) allows you to manage network resources by enforcing a maximum limit on concurrent active flows from a single source IP address. This configuration prevents resource exhaustion and maintains connectivity for legitimate user traffic.
