Onboard a Webex App to SSPM

Connect a Webex instance to SSPM to detect posture risks.
For SSPM to detect posture risks in your Webex instance, you must onboard your Webex instance to SSPM. Through the onboarding process, SSPM logs in to Webex using administrator account credentials. SSPM uses this account to scan your Webex instance for misconfigured settings. If there are misconfigured settings, SSPM suggests a remediation action based on best practices.
SSPM gets access to your Webex instance by using Okta SSO credentials that you provide during the onboarding process. For this reason, your organization must be using Okta as an identity provider. The Okta account must be configured for multi-factor authentication (MFA) using one-time passcodes.
To onboard your Webex instance, you complete the following actions:

Collect Information for Accessing Your Webex Instance

To access your Webex instance, SSPM requires the following information, which you will specify during the onboarding process.

An email address of an Okta user account.
Required Permissions:
The user must be a Webex administrator.
Password
The password for the Okta user account.
Okta Domain
The Okta subdomain for your organization. The subdomain was included in the login URL that Okta assigned to your organization.
MFA Secret Key
A key that is used to generate one-time passcodes for multi-factor authentication.
Organization ID
A unique identifier that was assigned to your organization. In the Webex Control Hub, your organization ID is included under your Company Information.
As you complete the following steps, make note of the values of the items described in the preceding table. You will need to enter these values during onboarding to access your Webex instance from SSPM.
  1. Identify the Okta user account that SSPM will use to access your Webex instance. The user account must have administrator privileges in Webex. SSPM needs this administrator access to monitor your Webex instance.
    Remember which account you will use to access your Webex instance through Okta SSO authentication from SSPM. You will provide the login credentials to SSPM during the onboarding process.
  2. Identify your organization ID.
    1. Open a web browser and go to the Webex Control Hub sign in page at admin.webex.com.
    2. Log in using the administrator credentials.
      The
      Overview
      page is displayed.
    3. In the Overview page's left navigation pane, click your company name.
      The My Company page is displayed.
    4. Under the Company Information section of the My Company page, locate the Organization ID field.
    5. Copy your organization ID and paste it into a text file.
    Do not continue to the next step unless you have copied the organization ID. You must provide this information to SSPM during the onboarding process.

Connect SSPM to Your Webex Instance

By adding a Webex app in SSPM, you enable SSPM to connect to your Webex instance.
  1. From the Add Application page (
    Posture Security
    Applications
    Add Application
    ), click the Webex tile.
  2. Under posture security instances,
    Add Instance
    or, if there is already an instance configured,
    Add New
    instance.
  3. Enter the user credentials, Okta domain, MFA secret key and your organization ID, and
    Connect
    .
