Introducing label-based onboarding rules for Strata Cloud Manager. The new
labels improve device onboarding, automated
Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP), and
software upgrades, addressing challenges in distributed environments. This feature
allows you to manage device labels and label groups for the bootstrap process or
device association. By extending label support to hardware NGFWs, you can utilize
onboarding rules with label match criteria for these devices.
The label-based approach simplifies remote NGFW deployment by reducing the
need for manual intervention and coordination between installers and network
administrators. You can now define labels that correspond to specific
configurations, software versions, or other attributes, ensuring that NGFWs are
configured and onboarded with the correct parameters upon connection. This
streamlines the onboarding process, minimizing human errors and reducing the time
required to bring remote sites online.
The enhancements also improve software updates, providing you with the
ability to manage software across your distributed NGFW infrastructure. By
associating labels with specific software versions or update policies, you can
streamline and automate the upgrade process for your firewalls. This capability
allows you to define groups of devices that should receive particular software
versions based on their assigned labels.
The new onboarding labels are valuable for organizations with multiple
remote locations or those requiring rapid deployment of NGFWs across diverse
environments.
