Failover and Resiliency
Learn about failover and resiliency features of Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (E-DLP).
Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (E-DLP) provides failover between US regions. Failover ensures that Enterprise DLP traffic inspection and related operations remain uninterrupted
despite regional failures within the United States. This version-independent capability
is available for both Prisma Access and Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW).
To maintain high performance, Enterprise DLP regularly checks the health and speed
of its dependent services. If Enterprise DLP detects a local service issue, Palo Alto Networks® reroutes your traffic to a healthy region. This failover is
handled entirely by Palo Alto Networks and requires no action from your IT team. If Enterprise DLP cannot fail over to another region and becomes unavailable, the
firewall allows or blocks traffic based solely on the fallback action configured in your
Enterprise DLP tenant. This failover capability is available between US regions
only.
If your
Enterprise DLP service experiences a disruption, the
Strata Cloud Manager
Incidents dashboard displays information about
the incident and the action taken.
