End User Coaching Exemption Requests
November 7, 2025
Organizations face a critical challenge when security policy rules block legitimate
business activities: manual exemption requests create delays and administrative
burden for both users and IT teams. The End User Coaching Exemption Requests
feature streamlines how your organization handles security policy exceptions. When
users encounter policy blocks while performing legitimate business activities, they
can request exemptions directly within Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) rather than
submitting tickets to IT.
You can configure multiple end user notification templates to grant exemption
requests based on different DLP rule. For example, you can configure a notification
template to automatically grant exception approvals for routine or low risk
incidents, manager review for context-dependent cases, or security administrator
approval for sensitive and high risk incidents. Additionally, you can provide the
opportunity for end users to provide justification for why an exemption should be
granted in the first place.
By implementing End User Coaching Exemption Requests, you reduce administrative
overhead, accelerate legitimate business processes, and maintain security
control—enabling your organization to balance essential security protections with
business productivity needs in a streamlined, auditable manner.
Exact Data Matching Column Context for DLP Incidents
November 10, 2025
When investigating sensitive data incidents, understanding exactly where and why a
match occurred is critical for effective remediation. The Exact Data Match (EDM)
Column Context feature solves this challenge by displaying the specific column names
from the uploaded EDM data set alongside matched data snippets when reviewing an Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (E-DLP)incident. This enhanced visibility
eliminates the guesswork in determining whether a match on data like
123-45-6789 occurred in a Social
Security Number, Loan Application
Number, or Patient ID column to
provide immediate context for your incident analysis. Data security administrators
can now quickly validate the accuracy of matches without contacting support, as the
system clearly indicates which column triggered each detection. This transparency is
particularly valuable for compliance officers who require detailed audit trails
showing precisely what data caused a match, streamlining regulatory reporting. EDM
Column Context also helps new data security administrators understand EDM
functionality faster by making the connection between matched content and data
structure explicit. By presenting column information alongside existing match
details in the DLP incident, data security administrators gain greater confidence in
your data protection strategy while reducing the time spent interpreting detection
results.
