Replacing SSD for ION 9200
In Prisma SD-WAN ION 9200 device, we have SSD which can be replaced and installed
again by following the below procedure.
The ION 9200 device is equipped with one slot for Solid State Drive (SSD).
- The SSD drives are not hot-swappable.Palo Alto recommends getting support from a certified field service engineer for replacement. Also, you need to send the whole SSD module (carrier + SSD module) for RMA.This equipment may be affected by electrostatic discharge. ESD reduction procedures (wearing a wrist strap) shall be implemented during the installation and maintenance of this equipment.Disable the FRU partition with the CLI command log-fru disable. The device will reboot.Power off the device and remove the old SSD on the side and insert the new SSD into the ION device.Power on the device.Enable the FRU partition with the CLI command log-fru init.
