Create OSPF Routing Profiles (SCM)

Learn about setting up an OSPF authentication profile in Strata Cloud Manager.
Configure an OSPF Interface authentication profile to specify the authentication using a password or MD5. The OSPF authentication profile can be applied to an OSPF area, an interface, and a virtual link.
  1. Log in to Strata Cloud Manager.
  2. Select ManageConfigurationNGFW and Prisma AccessDevice SettingsRoutingProfilesOSPFConfigurationNGFW and Prisma AccessDevice SettingsRoutingProfilesOSPF and select the Configuration Scope where you want to configure an OSPF authentication profile for an OSPF configuration.
You can select a folder or firewall from your Folders or select Snippets to configure an OSPF authentication profile for an OSPF configuration in a snippet.
  3. For Auth Profiles, Add Profile.
  4. Enter a Name for the profile.
The name must start with an alphanumeric character, underscore (_), or hyphen (-), and can contain a combination of alphanumeric characters, underscore, or hyphen. No dot (.) or space is supported.
  5. Select the Type of authentication.
    • Password—Enter the Password and Confirm Password.
The password might be a maximum of eight characters.
    • MD5Add MD5 key ID (range is 0-255) and a Key (maximum of 16 alphanumeric characters). Enable Preferred to prefer an MD5 key over other MD5 keys added here.
After you push a configuration change to your managed firewalls, the firewall goes through the list of keys you added from the top down. The top preferred key is used first. If you have multiple Preferred MD5 keys, be sure to order your preferred keys in the order you want them used.
  6. Save.
