    Enable Device Telemetry

You can configure the telemetry data that PAN-OS collects and shares with Palo Alto Networks
Where Can I Use This? What Do I Need?
    • NGFW (Managed by Strata Cloud Manager)
    • NGFW (Managed by PAN-OS or Panorama)
For Strata Cloud Manager managed NGFWs:
    • Strata Cloud Manager Essentials
    • Strata Cloud Manager Pro
Beginning with PAN-OS 10.2.17, 11.1.11, 11.2.8, 12.1.2, and later releases, the telemetry autoenablement feature configures telemetry to be enabled by default on your devices.
To enable Device Telemetry on devices without the telemetry autoenablement feature, follow the below steps:
    1. Enable Strata Logging Service.
      1. If your organization does not have a Strata Logging Service license, install a device certificate if one is not already installed on your device.
If your organization does have a Strata Logging Service license, make sure it is activated.
      2. Make sure that your network is properly configured so that the firewall can send data to Strata Logging Service.
    2. Navigate to DeviceSetupTelemetry
    3. Edit the Telemetry widget.
    4. In Telemetry Destination, select your region, if it is not automatically selected. If your organization is using Strata Logging Service, you must use the region that your Strata Logging Service is configured to use.
    5. Click OK, and then commit your changes.
_cliuser appears as a logged in admin whenever the firewall sends the telemetry file to it’s destination.
