Onboard a Wrike App to SSPM
Connect a Wrike instance to SSPM to detect posture risks.
For SSPM to detect posture risks in your Wrike instance, you must onboard your Wrike
instance to SSPM. Through the onboarding process, SSPM connects to a Wrike API and,
through the API, scans your Wrike instance for misconfigured settings. If there are
misconfigured settings, SSPM suggests a remediation action based on best practices.
SSPM gets access to your Wrike instance through OAuth 2.0 authorization. To enable
OAuth 2.0 authorization, you first create an OAuth 2.0 integration app in Wrike
before onboarding your Wrike instance in SSPM. During the onboarding process, SSPM
will redirect you to log in to Wrike. After you log in, Wrike will prompt you to
grant SSPM the access it needs to your Wrike instance.
To onboard your Wrike instance, you complete the following actions:
Collect Information for Accessing Your Wrike Instance
Item | Description |
---|---|
Client ID | SSPM will access a Wrike API through an OAuth 2.0 integration app that you create. Wrike generates the Client ID to uniquely identify this integration app. |
Client Secret | SSPM will access the Wrike API through an OAuth 2.0 integration app that you create. Wrike generates the Client Secret, which SSPM uses to authenticate to this integration app. |
Email Id | The login email address for the Wrike administrator who
created the OAuth 2.0 integration app. Required
Permissions: The Outh 2.0 integration app must be
created by an Account Administrator. |
As you complete the following steps, make note of the values of the items
described in the preceding table. You will need to enter these values during
onboarding to enable SSPM to access your Wrike instance.
- From SSPM, get the redirect URL that you will need when you create your OAuth 2.0 integration app in Wrike. To get this information, you will begin the onboarding process in SSPM, but you will not complete the process.
- From the Add Application page in SSPM ( Posture SecurityApplicationsAdd Application), click the Wrike tile.
- Under posture security instances, Add
Instance or, if there is already an instance
configured, Add New instance. A connection page for onboarding a Wrike instance is displayed. The Redirect URL field displays the redirect URL value.
- Copy the URL and paste it into a text file.Do not continue to the next step unless you have copied the redirect URL. You will need to specify this URL later when you are configuring your OAuth 2.0 integration app.
- Because you won't be completing the onboarding process until after you have gathered the necessary configuration information, return to the Apps Onboarding page.
Identify the Wrike administrator account that SSPM will use to create your OAuth 2.0 integration.Required Permissions: The OAuth 2.0 integration must be created by an Account Administrator.Create your OAuth 2.0 integration- Open a web browser and go to the Wrike login page at login.wrike.com.
- Log in as the Account Administrator that you identified earlier.
- From the Wrike dashboard, navigate to the API Apps page.
- Locate your profile icon in the upper-right corner of the dashboard, and select ProfileApps & Integrations.
- Select the API tab.
- On the API Apps page, specify an App name and Create
new.A configuration page for your new API app is displayed. This page contains the application credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) for your application.
- (Optional) Specify a description for your application.
- Copy the Client ID and Client Secret and paste them into a text
file.Do not continue to the next step unless you have copied the Client ID and Client Secret. You must provide this information to SSPM during the onboarding process.
- Using the redirect URL that you obtained from SSPM, Add Redirect URI.
- Save your OAuth 2.0 integration.
Connect SSPM to Your Wrike Instance
By adding a Wrike app in SSPM, you enable SSPM to connect to your Wrike instance. - From the Add Application page ( Posture SecurityApplicationsAdd Application), click the Wrike tile.Under posture security instances, Add Instance or, if there is already an instance configured, Add New instance.Enter the application credentials (Client ID and Client Secret) and the email ID, and Connect.SSPM redirects you to the Wrike log in page.Log in to the Wrike administrator account.Wrike displays a consent form that details the access permissions that SSPM requires.Review the consent form and allow the requested permissions.
