You can manage both Advanced Routing Engine (
Logical Router) and Legacy Routing Engine
(
Virtual Router) configurations within a single
Strata™ Cloud Manager tenant, eliminating the need to maintain separate tenants for
mixed-generation firewall deployments. This enables you to migrate heterogeneous
firewall fleets from Panorama to a single Strata Cloud Manager tenant without losing
any configuration.
Strata Cloud Manager no longer validates routing mode before pushing configuration to the
firewall. It pushes both Virtual Router and Logical Router configurations to devices,
and the firewall applies the configuration that matches its routing mode.
The Panorama to Strata Cloud Manager migration tool supports migrating both Logical
Router and Virtual Router configurations simultaneously within the same Strata Cloud
Manager tenant. Contact your account team to enable the Panorama to Strata Cloud Manager
Migration feature on your tenant.
Do not use the ZTP tool to onboard existing devices with active configuration to
Strata Cloud Manager.
Onboarding new devices without existing configuration follows the bootstrap process for
routing conversion to align with the tenant-level default (Advanced Routing Engine).
Contact your account team to change the tenant-level setting.
