Manage Your Context Library

Create, apply, and manage saved query contexts to streamline recurring agent conversations in Strata Cloud Manager.
Where Can I Use This? What Do I Need?
  • Strata Cloud Manager
  • Strata Cloud Manager Pro
  • This feature is currently in Beta and available on request. Contact your account team to enable the feature.
  • Superuser role (for agent administration, onboarding, and managing permissions)
  • Network Administrator or Security Administrator role (for agent interaction)
This feature leverages a large language model or generative AI, and may contain errors. Double-check for accuracy before applying changes.
A saved context bundles your Planner or Expert agent selections, product scope, and reference files so you can apply a consistent starting configuration to any conversation without re-entering the same inputs. Saved contexts or individual agents, product scopes, or files can also be independently added mid-conversation. Once contexts are added to a conversation they cannot be removed and are bound to the conversation. You can create private contexts for your own use or publish contexts for various teams to use. Superusers can view, edit, and delete any context in the tenant, including contexts created by other users.
You can create a saved context to streamline recurring workflows and eliminate repetitive setup. Use this feature when you consistently query the same Expert Agent with identical product scopes—for example, when running weekly posture checks on production NGFWs—to ensure consistent scoping across all related conversations.

Create a Saved Context

  1. Open Strata Copilot in Strata Cloud Manager.
  2. Select Context Library from the menu.
  3. Select + Add to add a new context.
  4. Enter a Name for the context and enter an optional Instructional Description to help your team understand its purpose.
  5. (Optional) Under Files, drag and drop one or more files, or Browse File to attach reference files the agent uses when generating plans. File upload availability depends on your tenant's WildFire integration settings; file types subject to WildFire scanning may not be available for direct upload.
  6. Under Product, select the managed products this context applies to. Narrowing scope reduces noise in results by limiting the agent to the relevant infrastructure.
  7. Under @ Expert Agents, select one or more Expert Agents to route all queries using this context to those specific domains.
  8. Under Visibility, select who can view, apply, and edit this context. All members of the selected groups can use and modify the context: Network Admin, Security Admin, Data Security Admin, View only Admin, or Superuser.
  9. Save.
You can assign a virtual assistant identity to the context from Control CenterAgent Permissions.

Apply a Context to a Conversation

  1. Open Strata Copilot in Strata Cloud Manager.
  2. Click the Add icon (+) and select Context.
  3. Select a saved context from the list.
    • The agent selections, product scope, and uploaded files from the saved context are applied to your conversation.
    • You can apply only one context per conversation. To use a different context, start a new conversation.
  4. Enter your query and submit. The agent generates a Target Plan using the scope and configuration defined in the saved context.
You can override individual settings from the saved context—such as adding an additional agent or changing the product scope—using the query context ribbon before submitting your query. The saved context provides defaults; the ribbon controls let you adjust for the current conversation without modifying the saved context.

Edit a Saved Context

  1. Open Strata Copilot and select Context Library.
  2. Locate the context you want to edit. You can edit any context you created. Superusers can edit any context in the tenant, including contexts created by other users.
  3. Select the context and Edit.
  4. Update any fields: name, description, agent selections, product scope, uploaded files, or visibility.
  5. Save. The updated context takes effect immediately for all future conversations that apply it. Existing conversations that already used the context are not affected.

Copy or Delete a Saved Context

Use copying to create a modified version of an existing context without changing the original. Use deletion to remove contexts that are no longer needed.
  1. Open Strata Copilot and select Context Library.
  2. Select the context you want to copy or delete.
  3. Select the Copy icon to create a copy with the same settings and a name appended with "Copy." Edit the copy as needed.
  4. To delete, select Delete and confirm.
    • Deleting a context removes it from the Context Library. Conversations that already used the context are not affected; the context details remain in those conversation records.
    • Superusers can delete any context in the tenant.
