If you want to start sending firewall logs to a new instance of
Strata Logging Service
, you can use the
Strata Logging Service
app to conveniently move firewalls and Panorama appliances from one instance of
Strata Logging Service
to another.
When moving a firewall or Panorama appliance, keep these requirements in mind:
The destination
Strata Logging Service
instance must be in the same
customer support account as the original instance.
This process only works for firewalls and Panorama appliances running PAN-OS
10.1 or later with a device certificate installed. For PAN-OS 10.0 or earlier,
onboard your firewall to a new instance.
If you are using
Strata Cloud Manager
to manage
Strata Logging Service
, click
Settings
Strata Logging Service
Inventory
to move devices to new instance.
Move Firewalls
Navigate to the
Strata Logging Service
app.
Log in to the hub.
Select the
Strata Logging Service
instance to which you
would like to move the devices.
Move firewalls.
Select
Inventory
Add
.
Select
Move
and
Next
.
Select the firewalls that you want to move and
Submit
.
You can also configure data storage settings for the target
Strata Logging Service
instance: long-term storage
for archival and auditing purposes or data ingestion for real-time
processing by other applications.
