The GlobalProtect app for Windows and macOS endpoints is now enhanced to provide an improved authentication experience for the end user. You can now configure the GlobalProtect app to continue to display the status panel while the end user is entering their credentials when logging in or cancels the request. By default, the Allow GlobalProtect UI to Persist for User Input setting is disabled. The end user must click outside the status panel to minimize it manually when entering their credentials.
  1. Enable the GlobalProtect app to continue to display the status panel on the screen.
    1. Launch the Web Interface.
    2. Select NetworkGlobalProtectPortals<portal-config>Agent<agent-config>AppAllow GlobalProtect UI to Persist for User Input.
    3. Select Yes to allow the status panel to continue to be displayed on the screen while the end user is entering their credentials when logging in or cancels the request. When this setting is set to No (default) and the end user must enter their credentials, they must click outside the status panel to minimize it manually.
  2. Click OK twice.
  3. Commit the configuration.
