    Set up Cisco Spaces for Integration

    Set up Cisco Spaces for integration with Device Security through Cortex XSOAR.
    Where Can I Use This?What Do I Need?
    • Device Security (Managed by Strata Cloud Manager)
    • (Legacy) IoT Security (Standalone portal)
    One of the following subscriptions:
    • Device Security subscription
    • Precision AI bundle subscription
    • Device Security X subscription
    One of the following Cortex XSOAR setups:
    • A free, cohosted, limited-featured Cortex XSOAR instance
      AND
      A free Cortex XSOAR Engine (on-premises integration)
    • A full-featured Cortex XSOAR server
    It's assumed you already have Cisco Spaces set up.
    When integrating Cisco Spaces with Device Security and Cortex XSOAR, you need to provide Cortex XSOAR with an API bearer token for Cisco Spaces. Cortex XSOAR uses the API token to request endpoint and location information from Cisco Spaces.
    1. Log in to your Cisco Spaces console.
    2. Follow the instructions for Authentication - Cisco Spaces Location Cloud API v2 to generate your API key.
      When configuring the API key expiration time, consider your requirements for security and usability. Minimizing the expiration time provides better security, but requires you to regenerate the API token and update the integration instance more frequently. If you plan to run the integration job often or on a recurring schedule, consider extending the API token expiration time.
    3. After you generate the API key, save and store it securely.
