Unified App-IDs
Before upgrading to device version 6.0.x, unbind unsupported applications from policy rules. Use only supported applications in the policy rules, otherwise you will see the following error message and the upgrade will fail.
Click
View policy set
to view policy rules that have F
or sites below 6.0.1
in the
Apps
field.
Edit the policy rule, remove these applications from the policy rule and save the policy rule or delete the policy rule. Try to upgrade your device to version 6.0.x.
See the list of Prisma SD-WAN deprecated applications.
Unsupported applications configured in a QoS set using a default QoS policy template are exempt from this rule. If you have created a QoS policy set using the default template (
Create From Template
option) without any modifications and it has legacy or unsupported applications, you can still upgrade your device to 6.0.1 or later without removing these applications from the policy rules.
PANW-only applications will not be supported once you downgrade to a version lower than 6.0.x.
Before downgrading to a device version lower than 6.0.x, unbind PANW applications from policy rules. If you do not unbind PANW applications, you will see the following error.
After downgrading to a software version lower than 6.0.x, you can use the legacy applications which are not supported in versions 6.0.x.
