Where Can I Use This? What Do I Need?

Upgrading your SD-WAN firewalls is essential to ensure optimal performance, security, and functionality of your network infrastructure. By keeping your Panorama and managed SD-WAN firewalls up to date, you gain access to the latest features, bug fixes, and security enhancements.
Review the Panorama plugin for SD-WAN release notes and then use the following procedure to upgrade your Panorama and managed SD-WAN firewalls.
PAN-OS 10.0.0 and 10.0.1 support SD-WAN plugin 1.0.3 and later releases. If your SD-WAN firewalls are running PAN-OS 10.0.2 or later releases, upgrade the SD-WANplugin to SD-WAN plugin 2.0.
  1. Upgrade your managed Log Collectors.
You can upgrade the log collectors when Panorama is either connected or not connected to the internet. Using Panorama, you can securely manage and deploy updates to your log collectors without compromising your network's security posture. By keeping the log collectors up to date, you can ensure that your log collectors receive the latest security enhancements, bug fixes, and content updates while maintaining control over the update process.
  2. Upgrade your SD-WAN hub firewalls.
You must upgrade your hub firewalls from PAN-OS 10.0.0 to PAN-OS 10.0.1 or later release before you upgrade your branch firewalls. Upgrading branch firewalls before hub firewalls may result in incorrect monitoring data (PanoramaSD-WANMonitoring) and for SD-WAN links to erroneously display as down.
