View WildFire Cloud API Token Usage Statistics and Details in Strata Cloud Manager
To maintain full visibility into your Advanced WildFire API environment,
administrators can access comprehensive details for all Advanced WildFire API tokens
associated with their organization. You can retrieve a complete list of your API
tokens and review related details, including the API key string, product
type (such as NGFW or Prisma Access), expiration dates, and the
specific service accounts bound to each key. The system also displays the
real-time status of your keys, categorized as Valid, Expired, or Revoked.
- You can access the dedicated Advanced WildFire Settings by selecting Strata Cloud ManagerConfigurationWildFire Setting.View the details of your Advanced WildFire API tokens. Each Advanced WildFire key entry shows the following details:
- API Key—A unique, 64-character alphanumeric string used to authenticate your requests to the Advanced WildFire service. It acts as a password for your script or application; without it, the Advanced WildFire cloud will reject your XML or JSON requests.
- Remaining Uploads—The number of file or link submissions you have left for the current 24-hour period.
- Limits typically reset daily at 00:00 UTC.
- Total daily allowance minus the number of successful Advanced WildFire calls made so far.
- Remaining Queries—The number of requests you can still make to retrieve information (such as verdicts or analysis reports) for the current 24-hour period. Queries are consumed by calls to Advanced WildFire API.
- Status—The current operational state of your API key.
- Valid—The key is authorized and can be used for submissions.
- Expired—The authorized API usage period has ended, and the key no longer functions.
- Revoked—The API token was manually disabled, possibly due to a security breach.
- Pending—A temporary intermediate state that exists when transitioning between other states. This state generally lasts for several minutes.
- Expiration—The date on which your WildFire API access will cease. This date is typically tied to your Advanced WildFire subscription. If you have multiple NGFWs, the API key typically inherits the expiration date of the subscription that expires last.
- Product Type—Identifies the specific subscription model providing the Advanced WildFire API access. Can include the following:
- NGFW—API access included with a hardware or VM-Series firewall license.
- Prisma Access—Access granted through Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access platform.
- Service Account—The name of the service account associated with the API key.
