New Features - Cloud Identity Engine - February 2025
CIE Directory
You can now configure a local user directory for the Cloud Identity Engine by configuring a CIE Directory. You can quickly set up a directory, add users, and even generate passwords for those users.
The CIE Directory allows you to quickly set up a user directory for demonstration purposes, proof of value, and create users on an as-needed basis, or add users without configuring an identity provider (IdP).
By providing a new method to add users in the Cloud Identity Engine, the CIE Directory allows even more deployment possibilities and faster startup time.
CSV Group Filter Upload for Azure Active Directory
If you use Azure AD Graph API Filtering and filter which groups the Cloud Identity EngineĀ® collects during a sync, you can now upload a comma-separated value (.CSV) file to more easily specify which groups you want to filter.
This saves significant amounts of time and prevents manual mistakes when entering information, freeing up your admins to work on other more critical tasks for your network.
IP-Tag Cloud Connection Region Selection for Google Cloud
If you are configuring an IP-Tag Cloud Connection for Google Cloud, you can now select the region you want to use when you test the connection.
JWT Encryption Algorithm for OIDC
If you use OIDC for authentication, you can now select which encryption algorithm you want to use for the JSON web token (JWT). The encryption algorithm encrypts the data as it traverses the network as a best practice. By default, the Cloud Identity Engine uses the RS256 algorithm but you can select from a number of different options.
