Integrate Google Workspace with Device Security to import managed Chromebook and mobile devices into your Device Security asset inventory. The integration retrieves ChromeOS and ChromeOS Flex devices enrolled in Google Workspace, and Android and iOS devices managed through Google Workspace Mobile Management. This integration enriches existing device data in your Device Security asset inventory. For devices not yet in inventory, the integration creates the device record.
The integration uses the Google Admin SDK Directory API to query your Google Workspace environment. Authentication relies on a Google Cloud service account with Google Workspace administrator privileges, so that the integration can read device data without per-user authorization. By learning about devices and device attributes through Google Workspace, Device Security can identify ChromeOS and mobile devices with more confidence, relying on managed device data instead of passive traffic monitoring.
In the Device Security asset inventory, you can view and filter Chromebooks and mobile devices using attributes from Google Workspace, such as enrollment status, organizational unit path, model, OS version, and last sync timestamp. For a full list of attributes that Device Security learns through the integration, see Google Workspace attribute reference.
Integrating with Google Workspace requires the activation of a Device Security free cohosted Cortex XSOAR instance.
