    View the App-ID ChangeLog

    Review changes to App-ID definitions across content releases using the Application ChangeLog in Applipedia.
    The Application ChangeLog in Applipedia provides a consolidated view of App-ID changes, including new, updated, and deprecated applications. Use it to track what changed between content releases — for example, when planning a content update, investigating a change in traffic classification behavior, or auditing which application attributes were modified.
    1. Go to applipedia.paloaltonetworks.com.
    2. Select the Application ChangeLog tab.
      The ChangeLog displays a table of all recorded application changes with the following columns: Application Name, App ID Name, Date and Time, App-ID Type, Change Type, Impacted Attribute, Previous Value, and New Value.
    3. (Optional) Filter the results to find specific changes.
      Use the filter bar to narrow results by any combination of the following:
      • Search—Enter a keyword to search by application name or App-ID name.
      • Date—Choose a time range: Past 1 Day, Past 7 Days, Past 30 Days, All, or Custom to specify a date range.
      • App-ID Type—Filter by Cloud App-ID or Content App-ID.
      • Change Type—Filter by New (newly added App-IDs), Update (modified App-IDs), or Obsolete (deprecated App-IDs).
      • Impacted Attribute—Filter by the specific attribute that changed, such as Min PAN-OS Version, Last Modified Version, Last Modified Date, App Domains, AI Risk, or other application properties.
      Click Reset to clear all filters.
    4. (Optional) Click Export Changelog to download the filtered results.
