Onboard a Couchbase App to SSPM
Connect a Couchbase App instance to SSPM to detect posture
risks.

For SSPM to detect posture risks in your Couchbase instance, you must onboard your Couchbase
instance to SSPM. Through the onboarding process, SSPM logs in to Couchbase using
administrator account credentials. SSPM uses this account to scan your Couchbase
instance for misconfigured settings. If there are misconfigured settings, SSPM
suggests a remediation action based on best practices.
To onboard your Couchbase instance, you complete the following actions:
Collect Information for Accessing Your Couchbase Instance
To access your Couchbase instance, SSPM requires the following information, which you will
specify during the onboarding process.

The login email address of a Couchbase administrator account. Required
Permissions: The administrator must be assigned to
the Organization Owner role. | |
Password | The password for the Couchbase administrator account. |
Tenant ID | A unique identifier for your Couchbase tenant. |
As you complete the following steps, make note of the values of the items described in the
preceding table. You will need to enter these values during onboarding to access
your Couchbase instance from SSPM.
- Identify the Couchbase administrator account that SSPM will use to access your Couchbase instance. Verify that the administrator is assigned to the Organization Owner role.Identify your Couchbase tenant ID.
- Open a web browser to the Couchbase sign in page at cloud.couchbase.com/sign-in and Sign In.
- Make note of the tenant ID, which appears in the browser's address bar as a parameter of the URL. The URL parameter is named tenentID and has the format tenantID=<your_tenant_id>.
Do not continue to the next step unless you have recorded your tenant ID. You must provide this information to SSPM during the onboarding process.Connect SSPM to Your Couchbase Instance
By adding a Couchbase app in SSPM, you enable SSPM to connect to your Couchbase instance.- From the Add Application Page ( Posture SecurityApplicationsAdd Application), click the Couchbase tile.Under posture security instances, Add Instance or, if there is already an instance configured, Add New instance.Enter the administrator login credentials and the tenant ID, and Connect.
