New Features Introduced in December 2021
Learn about the new features that became available in
SaaS Security starting December 2021.
The following table provides a snapshot of new features
introduced for SaaS Security in December 2021. Refer to the Administrator’s Guide for
more information on how to use SaaS Security API and SaaS Security
Inline.
Prisma SaaS is now SaaS Security API. However, you will still
see Prisma SaaS in some of the SaaS Security API documentation screenshots
until we apply this change throughout the documentation.

Data Violations on SaaS Security API | SaaS Security API now includes data violations on supported SaaS apps for additional
visibility into sensitive content without the need to create any
asset rules (policies). Simply enable the data profiles that you
want detected and the match results display as soon as they’re discovered
for efficient risk assessment.  |
SaaS Security Inline on Cloud Managed Prisma Access | SaaS Security Inline is
now available in the Cloud Managed Prisma Access web interface for
a centralized view of network and CASB security from a single console.
SaaS Security Inline offers SaaS visibility—advanced analytics and reporting—so that your organization
has the insights to understand the data security risks of sanctioned
and unsanctioned SaaS application usage on your network. |
Scan support for Slack Pro and Slack Business+ | You can now connect a Slack for Pro or Slack
for Business+ instance to SaaS Security API to scan for files and
messages to gain visibility into your company’s data and protect
against data exfiltration. To get started, simply onboard the Slack Pro
and Business app. If you have Slack for Enterprise Grid,
that support is preexisting, and you must onboard the Slack Enterprise Grid app separately.  |
New data patterns for Enterprise DLP and
SaaS Security DLP. | Enterprise DLP and SaaS
Security DLP now include 7 new data patterns and 2 new data profiles
to provide scanning for medical codes, NPI codes, and more credentials, access
tokens, and keys, bringing the total number of data patterns to
972 on Enterprise DLP and 47 on SaaS Security DLP. |
