Learn how to activate your Device Security China license and onboard your tenant.
If you purchased a Device Security China subscription license, follow these steps to activate your license and set up your Device Security China tenant. Activating a China license also requires activating Cloud Identity Engine for the tenant. After you complete these steps, prepare your firewall for Device Security in a China tenant before Device Security can start monitoring your network.
  1. Click the activation link in the email you received to go to the activation page.
  2. Choose the Customer Support Account that you want to use.
If you only have one Customer Support Portal account associated with your username, the Customer Support Account is prepopulated.
  3. Allocate the product to the Recipient of your choice.
The name provided matches your Customer Support Portal account for convenience. You can use the name provided or change it.
(Optional) If you're a managed security service provider (MSSP), a distributed enterprise customer, or need multiple tenants, after you create the first tenant, you can Allocate to subtenant and use or rename the tenant provided. After activation, you can build out your tenant hierarchy as needed through tenant management.
  4. For the data ingestion Region, select China.
  5. Agree to the terms and conditions, and Activate.
The activation process creates a single default tenant, and the product is activated in the tenant.
This tenant, and any others created by this Customer Support Portal account, will have the Superuser role.
  6. Activate Cloud Identity Engine for your Device Security China tenant.
    1. In the hub portal, select the TSG that you created for Device Security.
    2. Find the Cloud Identity Engine tile and click Activate.
    3. Choose the same CSP and TSG that you used to activate Device Security, and click Activate.
  7. Go to the Common ServicesDevice Associations tab to add firewalls to the tenant, associate them with the Device Security application, and then apply the Device Security subscription to them: Device Associations.
  8. (Optional) Manage your product.
