Greenfield Deployment
Learn how to integrate Prisma SD-WAN with AWS for a greenfield
deployment.
Selecting the Prisma SD-WAN
Greenfield Deployment option will create and configure the following:
- A new VPC
- A CIDR for the new VPC
- Two subnets (1 Private & 1 Public)
- Two route tables
- Two security groups
- One Elastic IP
- One Prisma SD-WAN ION EC2 instance with the minimum required 4 Interfaces
- From the marketplace listing, click Launch CloudFormation and create a stack based on the supplied S3 template URL.

Create Stack Options.Depending on your organizational requirements, you can use the default template(s) appropriate for the AWS stack. In the following example, the default options are chosen.![]()

Specify the parameters per your network requirements.![]()

When copying or pasting the ION key and secret key, make sure that there are no leading or trailing spaces in the text boxes, otherwise the ION device will fail to register with the controller.Validate that the CFT deployment is successful.![]()

Use the Outputs or Resources tab to find the EC2 instance ID.Validate that the ION EC2 instance has booted properly by checking the instance screenshot (virtual console output) in the EC2 console.![]()
It could take about 5 minutes for the console to show the login prompt.![]()
