AI Canvas is a no-code data exploration tool that revolutionizes how you interact with
your security data. Through its flexible, intuitive interface, you can seamlessly
explore and visualize your data without the constraints of traditional dashboards.
While conventional approaches require navigating multiple screens and applying complex
filters, AI Canvas empowers you to ask questions in natural language and receive
immediate insights. This transformative approach delivers four key advantages:
speed—obtaining instant insights without waiting for new reports; simplicity—using plain
English instead of complex query languages; flexibility—creating and arranging widgets
to suit your specific needs; and collaboration—saving and sharing canvases with
colleagues.
Security remains paramount with AI Canvas, as it fully honors role-based access control
(RBAC). This ensures users can only access, create, view, and share data they're
authorized to see. While widgets and canvases are personal by default, they can be
easily shared with other Strata Cloud Manager users when needed.
When troubleshooting, AI Canvas eliminates the fragmented experience of gathering
information from multiple sources. You can build focused canvases that consolidate all
relevant data into a single view. AI Canvas further enhances user confidence through
transparent error messages and clear explanations of generated queries, making complex
data exploration accessible to everyone.
Core Components
- Widgets—Individual data visualizations created through natural language
queries or Strata Copilot. These widgets can display various types of charts,
tables, and other visualizations based on your security data. The widget library
serves as a repository for all created widgets, allowing for easy reuse and
management.
- Canvases—Customizable workspaces where you can assemble multiple widgets
using drag-and-drop functionality. A canvas provides a comprehensive view of
related security data, eliminating the need to switch between different
dashboards.
- Clarify First
(Beta)—A conversational workflow inside the Create Widget dialog that
refines your natural language queries before running them. When you enter a
query, Strata Copilot asks a targeted clarifying question and offers suggested
refined queries. After you choose a direction, it presents a Proposed Plan
showing the exact prompt, data sources, query code, and chart type it will
use—so you can approve or adjust before any data is fetched. Use Clarify
First to ensure every widget reflects exactly what you
intended.
- Custom
Reports—A WYSIWYG report editor that lets you build multi-page
security reports from a curated widget library and download, share, or schedule
the output as a PDF. Use Custom Reports to design
reports tailored to the specific data your audience needs.
- Summarizer
(Beta)—An AI-powered analysis panel accessible from the Summarizer icon
on any canvas that generates instant natural language summaries at three levels:
canvas-wide overviews that describe all widgets at once, widget-level breakdowns
focused on a single visualization, and data-point drill-downs that forensically
analyze a specific value in a chart. Each summary surfaces highlighted insights
and suggests follow-up prompts to continue your investigation. When you drill
into a data point, Summarizer also exposes the underlying query code and a
direct link to open the matching records in Log Viewer. Use Summarizer to move from chart to insight without leaving your
canvas.
