Reports in Strata Cloud Manager aggregate and visualize your network security data into structured, shareable PDF documents. Rather than navigating multiple dashboards to piece together a picture of your security posture, a report compiles the relevant data into a single output you can review offline, distribute to stakeholders, or archive for compliance purposes. Reports are most useful when you need to communicate security findings to audiences who do not have direct access to Strata Cloud Manager, such as auditors or when you want a consistent, repeatable record of network health over time.
Strata Cloud Manager provides two types of reports to address different needs:
  • Pre-defined reports are ready-to-use templates built and maintained by Palo Alto Networks. Each template is scoped to a specific security or operational domain— for example, threat detection coverage, application usage, user activity, or compliance. Use these when the data you need maps to a known domain and you want a report that is immediately ready to generate without any configuration.
  • Custom reports are reports you design yourself using the AI Canvas editor. Use these when pre-defined templates do not cover the specific combination of data, time ranges, or layout your audience requires. You choose which widgets to include, how to arrange them across pages, and which filters to apply globally.
Any report—pre-defined or custom—can be distributed in three ways: downloaded immediately as a PDF, shared by email with specific recipients in a one-time send, or scheduled for recurring delivery at a daily, weekly, or monthly cadence. Each schedule can be managed, edited, or deleted from a central Activity view on the Reports page.
Select Strata CanvasReports to open the Reports page, which is organized into three sections:
Pre-defined Reports
System-provided report templates displayed as cards in alphabetical order. Each card shows a static preview image, a category tag (Security or Operational), a shortcut showing how many active schedules exist for that report type, and a Generate Report dropdown for downloading, sharing, or scheduling the report.
Click View All to open a full-catalog page with a search bar and Report Category filter.
Custom Reports
Reports you build using AI Canvas. Each custom report card includes the same Generate Report actions as pre-defined reports, plus an Edit option that opens the report in the AI Canvas editor. Click Create New (the + card) to create a new report in the AI Canvas editor.
Click View All to open a full-list page where you can search by report name.
Activity
Two tabs at the bottom of the Reports page display report activity:
  • Scheduled Reports—lists all active report schedules showing name, report type, creator, status (Report Sent, Scheduled, or Report Failed), recurrence, upcoming and last run times, last editor, and recipients. Use the search bar and Report Type, Category, Created By, and Frequency filters to find a specific schedule. Select the edit or delete icons in the Actions column to modify or remove a schedule.
  • History—lists reports generated in the past 90 days.
