Devices Tab

Manage the devices connected to Cortex Data Lake from the Devices tab.
From the
Devices
tab, you can view a list of Panorama and firewall appliances associated with your Palo Alto Networks customer support account.
The list does not show the mapping of a Panorama to its managed firewalls.
This list shows you the
Certificate Status
for each device, which indicates whether the device has been
Activated
with the necessary certificate to send log data to Cortex Data Lake or if it still
Needs Certificate
. If a device does not have a certificate, you can generate a one-time password to connect it to Cortex Data Lake.

Generate a One-Time Password

In the Devices tab, the
Certificate Status
of a device indicates whether the device has the necessary certificate to connect to Cortex Data Lake. If the device does not have a certificate, you can
Generate one-time password
to copy the code required to install the certificate on the device. Then, you can use that code to finish connecting individual firewalls to Cortex Data Lake or activating Cortex Data Lake with Panorama.
  1. Select
    Devices
    Generate one-time password
    .
  2. Generate PSK
    if you are onboarding individual firewalls or
    Generate OTP
    if you are onboarding a Panorama.
  3. Copy PSK
    to your clipboard and use it to finish connecting your firewalls to Cortex Data Lake.
    If you are onboarding a Panorama,
    Copy OTP
    and finish activating Cortex Data Lake.
