Working with Applications
Applications let you manage certificate settings and workflows in a single place.
To edit an application
- Sign in to Next-Gen Trust Security.
- Click Insights > Applications.
- In the left navigation bar, click the application you want to edit. The application details open in the right pane.
Request a certificate
To request a certificate for this application, click Request Certificate. The New Certificate Request window opens with the application already selected.
Delete an application
To delete this application, click Delete.
Update application settings
Add or remove issuing templates
- Click the Summary tab. The issuing templates associated with the application are listed in the Issuing Templates section.
- Next to Issuing Templates, click Add.
- Select a template from the list, and then click Add.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Modify auto certificate assignment
Discovered certificates can be automatically assigned to this application based on the auto-assignment settings.
- Open the Auto Certificate Assignment tab.
- Review or update the port and target settings used to associate discovered certificates with this application.

Configure auto-renewal
You can control whether certificates associated with this application automatically renew.
To configure certificate auto-renewal:
- Enable Certificate auto-renewal.
- Select the renewal window, which defines how many days before expiration a renewal request is generated.You can inherit the global configuration or define a unique renewal window for this application.
- Enable or disable Auto-provision.
- When enabled, renewed certificates are automatically installed on their target systems.
- When disabled, certificates are renewed but not automatically installed.
Bulk delete applications
- In the menu bar, click Applications.
- Select the checkboxes next to the applications you want to delete.
- Click Delete.
