Install Antennas on the PA-50R Series 5G Firewall
Learn how to install antennas on the PA-50R Series 5G firewall.
The PA-52R-5G, PA-54R-POE-D-5G, and PA-56R-POE-5G support remote MIMO, FWA (Fixed
Wireless Access) and vehicular antennas. The PA-52R-5G has two SMA (F) connectors,
while the PA-54R-D-5G and PA-56R-5G have 4x4 MIMO connectors. Refer to the antenna specifications for more
information.
Before installing the firewall, it is recommended that you conduct a cellular
location assessment of the installation site to receive the best signal strength
before installing the device.
- Attach the antennas.
- PA-52R-5G—Connect a 2x2 MIMO antenna with SMA (M) connectors.
- PA-54R-POE-D-5G and PA-56R-POE-5G—Connect a 4x4 MIMO antenna with SMA (M) connectors.
You can optionally connect a GNSS antenna to the device's GNSS port(s).Adjust the remote antenna location and orientation to receive the best possible signal strength.Check the signal strength of the firewall by viewing the LEDs or by checking the Firewall Web Interface.If the signal quality is poor, it is recommended that you consider another location to place the antenna.
