Install the PA-50R Series Firewall on a Wall

Learn how to mount the PA-50R Series firewall on a wall.
The PA-52R-5G, PA-54R-POE, and PA-54R-POE-D-5G, and PA-56R-POE-5G can be installed on a wall. The following procedure describes how to attach the wall mount bracket to the device and install it on a wall.
The wall mount bracket is required for this installation and must be purchased separately.
  • PA-52R-5G—PAN-PA-52R-WALL-MOUNT
  • PA-54R-POE and PA-54R-POE-D-5G— PAN-PA-54R-WALL-MNT
  • PA-56R-POE-5G—PAN-PA-56R-WALL-MNT
After installing, make sure to keep the device clean and clear of dust to ensure optimal heat dissipation and maintain proper hardware operation.

PA-52R-5G

  1. Mark the locations on the wall that line up with the four wall mount holes on the bottom of the wall mount bracket.
    Ensure there are no building services (water, gas, or wiring) behind the wall where you intend to install the firewall.
  2. Drill holes into the four marked locations on the wall. Make sure to remove any loose debris around the holes.
  3. Attach the firewall to the wall mount.
    1. Identify the four screw holes on the bottom panel of the PA-52R-5G.
    2. Align the wall mount bracket with the four screw holes.
    3. Secure the wall mount bracket to the firewall using the four provided T10 Torx M3 x 0.5 screws.
  4. Using four M4 Pan head screws screws (two for each side), install the wall mount bracket to the previously drilled holes in the wall.
    Ensure that the firewall is oriented in such a way that its front and side panel components are accessible.

PA-54R-POE and PA-54R-POE-D-5G

  1. Mark the locations on the wall that line up with the four wall mount holes on the bottom of the wall mount bracket.
    Ensure there are no building services (water, gas, or wiring) behind the wall where you intend to install the firewall.
  2. Drill holes into the four marked locations on the wall. Make sure to remove any loose debris around the holes.
  3. Install the four provided wall anchors into the four holes.
  4. Remove the DIN clip from the back panel of the firewall by unscrewing the four Flathead screws.
  5. Attach the wall mount bracket onto the back panel by using four M4 screws.
  6. Secure the wall mount bracket using four additional M4 screws in the corner holes.
  7. Using four #6-20 screws, install the wall mount bracket to the anchors in the wall.

PA-56R-POE-5G

  3. Install the two provided wall anchors into the upper two holes.
  4. Attach the firewall to the wall mount.
    1. Identify the four screw holes on the bottom panel of the PA-56R-POE-5G.
    2. Align the wall mount bracket with the four screw holes.
    3. Secure the wall mount bracket to the firewall using the four provided M4 Pan head screws.
  5. Using four #6-20 screws, install the wall mount bracket to the anchors in the wall.
