Prisma SD-WAN OSPF
Prisma SD-WAN now supports OSPF is an interior gateway protocol (IGP) often used to
manage network routes dynamically in large enterprise networks.
Prisma SD-WAN supports using Open Shortest Path First (
OSPF) routing protocols with L3 switches at
Branch sites, Aggregation Layer on campus, and Data Center sites. OSPF is an interior
gateway protocol (IGP) commonly used to manage network routes dynamically in large
enterprise networks.
The protocol determines routes dynamically by obtaining information from other routers
and advertising routes to other routers through Link State Advertisements (LSAs). The
information collected from the LSAs is used to create a network topology map, which is
then shared across all routers in the network for the available routes to be populated
in the IP routing table.
To configure OSPF, enable L3 Direct Private WAN Forwarding, which
allows the ION device to pair with an OSPF router via a private WAN interface. Enable
L3 Direct Private WAN Forwarding and L3 LAN
Forwarding to use dynamic LAN routing. To configure and manage the
Route Maps and Prefix Lists, select .
