Gmail Encryption Support for Email DLP
Email DLP now supports encrypting emails containing sensitive data sent through Gmail. Encrypting emails sent through Gmail requires integration with your Proofpoint server. When an email contains sensitive data, you can encrypt the email before being sent to its intended recipient to prevent exfiltration of sensitive data contained within the email.
Nested Email Support for Email DLP
Email DLP now supports inspection of nested email attachments. Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (E-DLP) can inspect attached .eml files and up to five levels of nested .eml email files.
Sender Alerts for Email DLP
Email DLP can now send alerts to email senders using Microsoft Exchange to immediately notify email senders when their email contains sensitive data and additional action is required before the email can continue to its intended recipient. This applies to an Email DLP policy rule when Action is configured to:
  • Forward email for approval to end user's manager
  • Forward email for approval to admin
  • Quarantine
New Application Support
Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (E-DLP) now supports the following new applications:
  • Microsoft Word Desktop
  • Microsoft Word Web
  • Slack Desktop
File Type Exclusion
Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (E-DLP) now supports creating a file type exclusion list when modifying a DLP Rule to define the type of traffic to inspect, the impacted file types, action, and log severity for the data profile match criteria. Creating a file type exclusion list, rather than an inclusion list, instructs the NGFW or Prisma Access tenant to forward all file types except for those specified in the exclusion list to Enterprise DLP for inspection and verdict rendering. A DLP Rule can be configured with an inclusion file list or exclusion file list, but not both.
