    Activate a Software NGFW Credits License Through
    Common Services

    Learn how to activate a Software NGFW Credits license on a tenant through
    Common Services
    .
    Where Can I Use This?
    What Do I Need?
    • Customer Support Portal (CSP) account with a Software NGFW Credits deployment profile enabled
    • Role: Multitenant Superuser, Superuser,
      Business Administrator
      , or View Only Administrator
    The Software NGFW Credits is a VM series flexible consumption model based on tokens, compatible with the following licenses that are supported for a tenant (TSG):

    Activate a Software NGFW Credits License for IoT Through
    Common Services

    Learn how to activate a Software NGFW Credits License for IoT on a tenant through
    Common Services
    .
    1. After you create a deployment profile on the Customer Support Portal (CSP) of
      VM-Series
       for
      IOT
      , then you can activate your subscription.
    2. After the profile is complete in the CSP, select
      Finish Setup
      . This redirects you to the hub
      Subscription & Add-ons
      , where you select
      Activate Now
       to activate the subscription for your product.
    3. Select the
      Customer Support Account
       number that you want to use to manage the subscription.
    4. Select a
      Tenant
       or create a tenant where you want to apply this subscription.
    5. Select a
      Region
       storage location for the data logs, known as
      Cortex Data Lake
      .
    6. Select the deployment profile that you just created and enter a unique subdomain to complete the
      <subdomain>.iot.paloaltonetworks.com
       URL for your IoT Security app (this will be the URL where you log in to the IoT Security portal).
    7. Agree
       to the terms and conditions, and
      Activate
      .
    8. Tenant Management
       displays the following:
      • Licensed Products
         displays the products associated with the tenant, including the status of the license activation, such as
        initializing
         or
        complete
        .
      • Deployment Profiles
         displays the deployment profiles associated with the tenant, including the status of the association, such as
        pending
         or
        complete
        .
    9. After the status is
      complete
      , which can take up to five minutes, you can do one of the following:

      , you can launch Software NGFW for IoT from one of the following options.
      • Launch from email.
      • Launch from the hub tile.
      • Launch from
        Common Services
        Tenant Management
        .
    11. Get started with IoT Security.

    Strata Cloud Manager
     for NGFW Through
    Common Services

    Learn how to activate a Software NGFW Credits license of
    Strata Cloud Manager
     for NGFW on a tenant through
    Common Services
    .
    Use
    Strata Cloud Manager
     (
    AIOps for NGFW Premium
    ) to manage VM-Series.
    1. After you create a deployment profile on the Customer Support Portal (CSP) for
      VM-Series
       for
      AI-OPS
      , then you can activate your subscription.
    2. After the profile is complete in the CSP, select
      Finish Setup
      . This redirects you to the hub
      Subscription & Add-ons
      , where you select
      Activate Now
       to activate the subscription for your product.
    3. Select the
      Customer Support Account
       number that you want to use to manage the subscription.
    4. Select a
      Tenant
       or create a tenant where you want to apply this subscription.
    5. Select a
      Region
       storage location for the data logs, known as
      Cortex Data Lake
      .
    6. Select the deployment profile that you just created,
      Agree
       to the terms and conditions, and
      Activate
      .
    7. Tenant Management
       displays the following:
      • Licensed Products
         displays the products associated with the tenant, including the status of the license activation, such as
        initializing
         or
        complete
        .
      • Deployment Profiles
         displays the deployment profiles associated with the tenant, including the status of the association, such as
        pending
         or
        complete
        .
    8. After the status of the license activation is
      complete
      , which can take up to five minutes,
      • Go to the CSP to register the firewall.
      • Use the auth code while bringing up a VM. The auth code is associated with this consumption model. When the license database sees the auth code request come in from the VM, it will automatically call hub with this information. At this point, the new VM serial number will be added to the TSG associated with the deployment profiles for Software NGFW.
      • Go to the hub
        Common Services
        Device Associations
         tab to see the firewall devices: Device Associations.
    9. After the status is
      complete
      , you can launch
      Strata Cloud Manager
       for NGFW from the hub
      Common Services
      Tenant Management
      .
    10. Get started with
      Strata Cloud Manager
       for NGFW.

    Activate a Software NGFW Credits License for
    AIOps for NGFW Premium
     on Panorama Through
    Common Services

    Learn how to activate a Software NGFW Credits License using
    AIOps for NGFW Premium
     (
    Strata Cloud Manager
    ) for Panorama Managed VM-Series on a tenant through
    Common Services
    .
    Use
    Strata Cloud Manager
     (
    AIOps for NGFW Premium
    ) for Panorama Managed VM-Series.
    1. After you create a deployment profile on the Customer Support Portal for
      VM-Series
       for
      AI-OPS
       including the following options, then you can activate your subscription:
      • Panorama for Management
      • Panorama as Dedicated Log Collector
      • Strata Cloud Manager
    2. After the profile is complete in the Customer Support Portal, select
      Finish Setup
      . This redirects you to the hub
      Subscription & Add-ons
      , where you select
      Activate Now
       to activate the subscription for your product.
    3. Select the
      Customer Support Account
       number that you want to use to manage the subscription.
    4. Select a
      Tenant
       or create a tenant where you want to apply this subscription.
    5. Select a
      Region
       storage location for the data logs, known as
      Cortex Data Lake
      .
    6. Select the deployment profile that you just created,
