    Activate AIOps for NGFW Through Common Services

    Activate AIOps for NGFW Through
    Common Services

    Learn how to activate an AIOps for NGFW premium license on a single tenant through
    Common Services
    .
    Verify if this activation process applies to you. The AIOps for NGFW license is supported only in a single tenant environment with paid Cortex Data Lake (CDL).
    • If you are trying to activate AIOps for NGFW Free, log into the hub and select
      Activate
      . The free version doesn’t require any license to activate.
    • If you are trying to activate AIOps for NGFW with the add-on Enterprise License Agreement (ELA), see activate an add-on enterprise license agreement instead.
    After you receive an email from Palo Alto Networks identifying the AIOps for NGFW license you are activating, click the email link to begin the activation process.
    1. Select
      Get Started with AIOps for NGFW Premium
       in your email.
    2. You are automatically directed to
      Common Services
      Subscription & Add-ons
      , where you activate the subscription for your product.
    3. Select the same
      Tenant
       that you used for CDL, so that you can associate AIOps on the same tenant where you want AIOps to be applied.
    4. The
      Customer Support Account
       is grayed out, but is auto-populated with the same CSP that you used for CDL.
    5. The
      Region
       is grayed out, but is auto-populated with the same region that you used for CDL.
    6. The UI shows if you have CDL available in this tenant where you can apply AIOps.
    7. Agree
       to the terms and conditions, and
      Activate
      .
    8. Common Services
      Tenant Management
       displays the status of the activation, such as
      initializing
       or
      complete
      .
    9. After the status is
      complete
      , you must go to the
      Common Services
      Device Associations
       tab to select the devices and apply AIOps on them: Device Associations.
      If the status is not
      complete
      , you cannot apply AIOps on the devices yet.
    10. After the status is
      complete
      , you can launch AIOps from one of the following options.
      • Launch from email.
      • Launch from the hub tile.
      • Launch from
        Common Services
        Tenant Management
         or from
        Settings
        Tenant Management
        .
    11. Get started with AIOps for NGFW. If you are a new AIOps for NGFW customer or migrated to
      Strata Cloud Manager
       of June 2023, also get started with AIOps for NGFW on the .
    12. (
      Optional
      ) Manage identity and access. Assign role of Superuser .
      The CSP-level access is not sufficient.
    If you are activating an AIOps for NGFW premium instance for the first time, and you don’t have a free tier instance, AIOps for NGFW free tier instance is also activated automatically. This helps you in scenarios such as:
    • If you activate licenses for a partial set of devices in your tenant, the unlicensed devices are visible in the AIOps for NGFW Free instance.
    • If the licenses expire, the devices revert to the AIOps for NGFW Free instance.
