Forward Logs to an External Logging Platform
Syslog is a standard log transport mechanism that enables
the aggregation of log data from different network devices and vendors
into a central repository for archive, analysis, and reporting.
Depending on the type and severity of the data in the log files,
you may want to receive alerts for critical events that require
your attention, or you may have policies that require you to archive
the data for longer than it can be stored on the ESM Console. In
these cases, you can configure the ESM to forward your log data
to an external service for archive, notification, analysis, or any
combination of the three.
